A salon steam treatment needs a chair, a hood and twenty minutes of someone else’s time. This is the same idea folded into a sachet: a three-layer cap that warms on contact with the hair, so the mask works at home. The whole product is a lamination decision before it is a formula one.

An outer non-woven layer holds the shape, a middle layer keeps the heat facing the hair rather than the room, and an inner layer generates it. Change any one and the warm-up curve changes, so the three are specified as a set with the converter.
Warmth opens the cuticle and lowers the viscosity of the essence, so it spreads and rinses differently than a cold cream. That is a measurable difference on the hair, and it is why a steam cap can carry a claim a plain cap cannot.
A cap that dries out in the sachet before the customer opens it is a return, not a sale. Barrier film, headspace and seal width are specified against shelf life and transport, not chosen from a catalogue.
